Hilarious: West Ham Fans Troll Their Own Team After Near Escape Vs Hull
Dec 18, 2016 at 1:20 PM
Overall, it’s been a pretty miserable season to be a West Ham fan.
Slaven Bilic’s first campaign in charge brought such high hopes with a seventh-placed finish, and the expectation was that the Hammers would really push on this term.
It’s fair to say that after the much-anticipated move to the London Stadium, and Bilic apparently losing the last remnants of his tactical knowledge, things haven’t quite worked out that way.
The 1-0 win over Hull City may prove to be hugely significant down the line, but many fans have been forced to admit that the hosts got a little lucky with the award of Mark Noble’s penalty.
At one point, Bilic was employing Michail Antonio up front, Andy Carroll on the right of the midfield, and Cheikhou Kouyate as a right-back, so it’s no wonder few players were able to play to their full potential.
So, while last season, you’d have expected West Ham to cruise past a side in the relegation zone, the Olympic Stadium faithful were just happy to get the three points.
West Ham fans have often been in the headlines for the wrong reasons this year, but credit where it’s due, they found a great way of venting their frustration after the game, with not a chair ripped from its hinges.
The club’s official Twitter account asked them to vote for their Man of the Match, and the general consensus was that no one player had done enough to be singled out.
The obvious solution? To vote for the post, which saved them three times as hapless Hull struggled to find the back of the net. It won with 57 percent of the vote, so bravo.
With 5️⃣️7️⃣ per cent of the vote, congratulations to The Post on securing today’s Man of the Match award!

They may not have had a lot to smile about this season, but at least they’ve kept their sense of humour.
