Ending all the speculations surrounding his future, Arsenal star Hector Bellerin has signed a new deal with the North London club that will keep him at the Emirates for the next six years.
The Spain international, who still has two years left on his current contract, is one of the hottest properties in Europe and was linked with several clubs. Bellerin left Barcelona’ famous La Masia for the North London club in 2011 and since then he has developed into one of the best right-backs in Europe. His speed and solid defending have made him one of the most prized assets in football and Barcelona were reportedly contemplating to take the Spanish player to Camp Nou as a long-term replacement for Dani Alves who joined Juventus this season. Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester City were also very much interested in securing the services of the right-back.
But the Gunners managed to ward off the interest by giving the player a massive deal. According to the reports in The Daily Mail, the 21-year old will now earn in the region of £100,000 per week, inclusive of bonuses.

Bellerin’s contract extension will be a huge boost for Arsene Wenger’s team which has made a brilliant start to the season. They are currently fourth in the league, two points shy of table-toppers Liverpool and have already qualified for the knockout stages of Champions League.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will look to tie down two of their biggest stars- Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez- by giving them similar long-term deals.Rumours of a contract extension for both the players have been doing the rounds for quite some time now but nothing concrete has materialised yet. However, The Sun has reported that the club is closing in on reaching an agreement with Ozil over a new deal that will make him the highest-paid player at the club. The report also claimed that Sanchez will be provided with a similar deal in next few months. Both the players have been in superb form this season and have played an important role in Arsenal’s brilliant performance this season. Arsenal will surely like to secure their services as soon as possible as they seek to end their title drought.
