Arsenal’s injury crisis has further deepened as their centre-back Shkodran Mustafi is set to remain on the sidelines for around three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Stoke City.
The Germany international limped off the pitch after just over 20 minutes and was replaced by Hector Bellerin who was making a comeback from injury. Arsene Wenger has confirmed the extent of the defender’s injury.
Speaking after the match, Wenger said:“He has a bad hamstring strain and will be out for a minimum of 21 days. He will have a good Christmas [not playing].”

With the Gunners set to have a run of six games in 28 days, the injury will be a huge blow for them. Ever since arriving at the Emirates this term, Mustafi has become an integral part of the team and his absence can hurt Arsenal’s title hopes.
The North London outfit is already missing the services of Mathieu Debuchy, Per Mertesacker and Santi Cazorla due to injury.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger’s men are currently top of the Premier League on goal difference after the win over the Potters. However, Chelsea could overtake Arsenal if they beat West Brom on Sunday.
Stoke City took the lead through Charlie Adam’s penalty after Granit Xhaka elbowed Joe Allen. The hosts hit the equaliser when Theo Walcott turned in Bellerin’s cross just before the half-time. Mesut Ozil fired the Gunners to the lead before substitute Alex Iwobi capped off the fine night with a third goal
