Huge Blow: On Demand Bundesliga Star Denies Links To Stamford Bridge Amid Uncertainty 1

Bayer Leverkusen winger Hakan Calhanoglu has denied that he will move to Chelsea this summer amid speculations of him leaving Germany in favour of Premier League.

Calhanoglu is one of the finest young talents in Europe and is one of the most renowned free kick takers in the world. Reports in a number of publications earlier this week suggested that the Turkish international is looking for a move to Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year old, who is currently serving a four-month suspension imposed by FIFA,  is one of the brightest prospects in Germany and has been highly rated by some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Calhanoglu was previously linked with Chelsea as well in 2014 when Jose Mourinho was in charge at Stamford Bridge but the young midfielder has decided to join Bayer Leverkusen from Hamburg that summer.

He has taken his twitter account to put an end to all the rumours suggesting a move to Premier League leaders and have confirmed that he not spoken to any Turkish journalist about his future or the course decision regarding his suspension.

“I said nothing about Chelsea in the press and didn’t talk to any Turkish journalist – neither about the court decision nor about my future,” he tweeted.

Calhanoglu is currently serving a four-month ban due to an incident in 2011 when he was playing for then German second tier club Karlsruhe. The midfielder has agreed to a move to Turkish club Trabzonspor but has instead remained in Germany and later signed for Bundesliga club Hamburg.

He then moved to Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 and has become one of the most exciting talents in Germany in the last two years. Trabzonspor has lodged a complaint on Calhanoglu in 2013 and FIFA ruled the decision in favour of the club which landed the player in a four-match ban. He will also pay a fine of about £85,900.
