Arsenal No.1 Petr Cech’s agent has ruled out a summer move away from the club amid increasing speculations of his future.
The former Czech international has moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2015 from their arch rivals Chelsea and have been a starter since then for the Gunners.
However, Cech has been linked with a move away from Arsenal in the recent weeks after a string of poor performances by him along with the team which has pulled Arsenal out of the title race.
But his agent Viktor Kolar has insisted that the legendary goalkeeper will not leave Gunners despite the ongoing speculations in the media.
The 34-year old has a contract with Arsenal till 2019 and his agent has confirmed that he will see out his contract at the club before making a move.
Arsenal are linked with a move to on-loan Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart to replace Petr Cech. However, when asked about a potential move for Hart, Wenger insisted that he is happy with the three world class keepers in his roster including Petr Cech.
‘Petr’s position at the club is very secure and a summer transfer can be ruled out,’ agent Viktor Kolar said in a statement.
‘Petr will be part of Arsenal until at least the end of his current contract and I am convinced that he will continue to have a leadership role in the team.
‘Petr Cech is a guy who is serious, wants to do well, he prepares well. Overall he’s had a good season.’
Cech still has a huge role to play for Arsenal this year as he is expected to play in the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich later this week.
