Huge Champions League Boost For Arsenal As Key Bayern Player Gets Injured
Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to be out for at least two weeks as he is definitely set to miss the crucial champions league game against Arsenal at Allianz Arena.
The 34-year old is still one of the world’s best wingers and has proved it once again this weekend against Werder Bremen as the Bundesliga giants won the game by 2-1 at the end. Arsenal could breathe easy with the news as they will have a simpler task while playing against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.

The German giants are yet to get to their full flow this season as they struggled for perfection under new manager Carlo Ancelotti. Bayern would be keen to improve their control of the game as they managed two very close victories since the start of the second half of the season.
Arsenal, meanwhile are in fine form as they topped their group in Champions League and have looked impressive in January so far. However, they will yet again face a daunting task to eliminate Bayern Munich from Champions League this season which they have failed to do twice before.
The Gunners also do not have fond memories of the visit to Allianz Arena as they were thrashed 5-1 last season and Wenger men would be keen to produce a much improved performance at the iconic stadium.
Despite losing Ribery, Bayern Munich still has Douglas Costa in their roster who is also a great winger and could be a problem for Arsenal backline later this month. Bayern are currently three points clear at the top of Bundesliga and have set great expectations on themselves as they remain the only side to reach at least semi-finals in the Champions League over the past five seasons.
However, the Germans already has enough injury problems with the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Arturo Vidal and Jerome Boateng still nursing their respective injuries. Despite the injuries, Arsenal will have to be at their very best to replicate a performance that no team has managed at Allianz Arena in the past two and half seasons.
Bayern Munich have won each of their last 15 Champions League home games as teams like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Arsenal have failed to manage at least a draw in Allianz Arena since the start of 2014-15 season.
