Huge: Chelsea Eyeing Bayern Munich Star 1

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly eyeing a reunion with his former player Arturo Vidal who is currently plying trade at Bayern Munich.

The former Juventus manager has turned things around spectacularly at the Stamford Bridge with his 3-4-3 formation and is reportedly given the green light by Roman Abramovic to spend heavily in the future.

And Spanish news outlet Don Balon has claimed that the Blues have contacted the Bayern Munich ace to lure him to West London. They have offered £42million to secure the services of the star player.

Arturo Vidal

The Chile international, who played under Conte for three seasons, arrived at the Allianz Arena in 2014 and has become one of their mainstays in the midfield. He has already played 20 games for the Bundesliga champions this term and looks very important for Carlo Ancelotti but the report claimed that the German outfit is looking at the future and is willing to sell the midfielder in order to give the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Renato Sanchez a chance to shine at the highest level.

The Chilean is also looking for new challenges having previously plied his trade in his native country, Italy and now Germany. And the news outlet has reported that every party more or less has given its nod to the deal.

However, Chelsea might fail to sign the striker if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. The 2014 Premier League champions finished a lowly tenth in the 2015-16 season but are looking well set for a top-four finish term. Antonio Conte’s men are currently sitting at the top of the table, six points ahead of second-placed Liverpool, and a top four finish looks guaranteed.
