Manchester United were one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League in the last couple of transfer windows. And the new manager at the club, Jose Mourinho, will relatively pleased with the way his team is performing at the moment.
Having taken a lead in the Round of 32 Europa League encounter, Manchester United are now active in all 4 competitions and are not too far away from a place in the top-4 in the points table.
Mourinho is however, ready to break the bank this summer yet again to add some more quality to his squad and this has seen him linked with some of the biggest stars in world football.
With the business end of the season coming up, Mourinho has already started his efforts to sign potential transfer targets and one names that is constantly doing the rounds today is Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
The World Cup winning German midfielder is among the best players in his position and was a transfer target for Louis van Gaal at the Old Trafford.
However, Kroos decided to quit Bayern and walked into the Bernabeu, helping them to two Champions League title in his time in Spain.
And Jose Mourinho, who is desperate for midfield additions is now plotting for a move in the summer.
According to reports from English media outfit Sun, Manchester United are now ready to test Real’s resolve for the player and are set to make an astonishing bid to land him in the summer.
Mourinho is interested in the signature of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann and has recently revealed that he is not afraid to break the bank for his signature.
But Atletico Madrid are now adamant that he is not up for sale and it is understood that Mourinho has now turned his head to Kroos, and is desperate for his signature.
The 27-year old German midfielder is currently settled at the Bernabeu and is the first choice midfielder for Zinedine Zidane this season.
He has helped them to some important victories this season and it is hard to see the manager let him leave for any price in the summer.
To add to it, legendary Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has also urge Mourinho to get his services at the end of the season.
Speaking to the media recently, Scholes said, “I really like Toni Kroos. When I neared the end of my career, I followed him closely and tried to play like Kroos.
“I was a midfielder with an eye for the goal, but Kroos is one of the best midfield masterminds in the world.
“Kroos would be perfect at United next to [Paul] Pogba and Ander Herrera.”
