As teams around Europe were busy in their Europa League games on Thursday, there were a number of attorneys that were breathing heavily on that night.
After the sting operation revealed that new England boss Sam Allardyce spoke to businessmen about a way to pass the FA regulation, news broke out on social media that 8 other Premier League managers were about to meet the same fate in the coming days.
CivilUnrest.co.uk, a not so well known site in the UK is responsible for many such rumors that have surfaced recently.
The website, which does not have enough visitors, posted an article revealing names of 8 Premier League managers who were reportedly close to being implicated in a similar fashion as Sam Allardyce recently.
Here is a list of the 8 managers that were reportedly implicated:

It is revealed that the website posted the article on the 28th of this month but the rumors only started doing the rounds the next day, which in itself reduced a lot of credibility of the story.
There were a number of social websites that caught hold of this news and made it more popular but a deeper look at these names has shown that these reports were nothing short of destructive gossip.
The site in which the original article was posted is itself a site that is about sarcasm and humor.
At the bottom of the home page of CivilUnrest.co.uk, the website has an ‘About’ section which reads as follows:
A light humored satirical look at life bundled together in this fine publication. All stories and content have been made up with the exception of some stories which are actually true.
Though it says that some stories are true, it is hard to imagine this one being anything but gossip, as it was removed from the site even before this article was written.

There are many sites that publish articles like these for humor and though most of them are usually not made a gossip, this one was certainly not one of them.
These reports rang some loud bells in even the biggest of the clubs in the country with some of the names having big connections with the likes of Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
These types of stories are not good for the reputation of the managers and there must be a line drawn between the truth and the humor that is spread on social media.
It is clear now that this story is fabricated and it must be taken care of so that it is not repeated with even bigger effects.
