The new season has just begun and along with that Arsenal’s injury crisises have started. The first victim of the season was central midfielder Jack Wilshere. The newest inductee to the injury club is veteran midfielder Tomas Rosicky.

The club have revealed that the Czech Republic international will be out of action for almost two months due to a recurring knee injury.Rosicky, 34, is set to miss at least another four weeks after undergoing a procedure on his knee.

The player’s agen Pavel Paska was quoted by the media: “Tomas last Tuesday passed arthroscopic knee surgery. The recovery period is estimated at four to eight weeks.”

The Czech Football Association also mentioned in an official statement that the player will be missing the nation’s Euro 2016 qualifier games which is scheduled to happen next month.

“He’s had some treatment, though not anything big, but time is against us,”  as confirmed by Miroslav Pelt, chairman of the Football Association of the Czech Republic.

Tomas Rosicky had signed a contract extension at the end of last season which will keep him at the club untill 2016. The player though had complained last season that he is not happy with the lack of first team opportunities at the club.

Arsenal have several big names in their midfield this season and it is unlikely that the 34-yar-old veteran will get a chance ahead of them. The injury now wil further narrow his chances of breaking into the starting lineup.
