Klopp said that the Belgium international, Divock Origi, returned to full training on Tuesday morning after missing out on Monday’s session due to a minor back injury. Origi is fit to play in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday, the Kop boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. It is doubted that the Belgian sustained the injury after coming off the substitutes’ bench for the last 15 minutes to replace Roberto Firmino in the 2-1 win away at Bournemouth on Sunday.

Klopp said: ‘Divock was only a little bit [of a problem] with the back – maybe from sitting on the bench! It was not a real issue,’

‘He felt it a little bit in the game and so we left him out of training yesterday but that was only not to take a risk. So that is OK.’

With a total of nine goals in 31 appearances for Liverpool this season, containing some of the most important goals for the club, it is a huge boost for the club and the boss.

Kolo Toure suffered from cramp in the match at the Vitality Stadium but he is expected to be back before the 8pm kick-off at Anfield tonight.

It’s Wednesday and everybody is waiting for the Merseyside derby to start, but Roberto Martinez is in deep trouble, as he revealed that Phil Jagielka and Seamus Coleman are ‘definitely out’.

Jagielka hurt his hamstring in the 1-1 draw at Watford on 9th of April and the club captain, thus, Phil won’t be included in the squad for the Merseyside derby tonight, nor will Coleman, who has a picked up hamstring injury. Among these two, Jagielka is more likely to be fit before Everton’s visit to Wembley.

Martinez is not worried about these players, he is more concentrated on an evening training session at Finch Farm, where he will check the fitness of Leighton Baines, Tom Cleverley, and Aaron Lennon, to decide if anyone of these can travel to the Anfield. If Baines doesn’t pass the fitness test, Martinez will be in a real tough situation. Being without 75 per cent of his first team defenders, Martinez may be forced to consider options like Callum Connolly, the 18-year-old right-back, and Tom Davies, as defensive options.
