Injury Update From Arsenal Star: I Am Fully Fit, No More Worries 1

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has quashed suggestions that he is still suffering from injury.

The 30-year-old has had an interrupted start to the new season after a delayed return from the Euros this summer.

Giroud’s busy summer in France saw him miss out on a pre-season with the Gunners.

And fitness issues as well as a toe injury have seen the hitman make just five substitute appearances in the Premier League this term.

A recall was earned to the France squad after his brace for Arsenal at Sunderland at the end of October.

However, Didier Deschamps suggested ahead of his team’s World Cup qualifier with Sweden that the arsenal forward wasn’t 100 percent fit.

Giroud denied any notion of an ongoing issue though, speaking out after France’s 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet.

“I have not been back to the Stade de France since the [Euro 2016] final,” Giroud said.

“It was a special moment for me and it felt good to play 90 minutes again.

“I have no problems with my injury. I feel good.”

The claims will come as some relief to Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger due to their other injury woes.

Alexis Sanchez sustained a low-grade muscle tear while on international duty with Chile this week.

And with Danny Welbeck still out long-term too, Giroud could be in line for his first Premier League start of the season at Manchester United next weekend.

Hector Bellerin is another set to miss the trip to Old Trafford after picking up an injury while away, with the right-back reportedly sidelined for the rest of November.
