Manchester United and Jose Mourinho sported a frustrating figure at the weekend as West Ham united managed to hold on to a point on their trip to the Old Trafford in the 13th round of the Premier League.
The Portuguese manager spent millions in the summer transfer window to improve the squad but with a mediocre start to the season, Mourinho is now looking to add further personnel to his squad in January.
There are a number of star players that might make the switch in January and Mourinho will have to let go of a few players from the squad to make way for the new ones. This will see a few quality players in the squad worry about their place in January.
Two such players who may well be out of the club after the turn of the year is Italian defender Matteo Darmian and Dutch winger Memphis Depay.
Former Torino defender, Darmian, moved to the Old Trafford before the start of the previous season under Louis van Gaal and made a decent start to his career in England.
However, injuries and the challenges of the new league took its toll on the full-back who lost his form late last season. He has been out of the plans for Mourinho this season and is far from the first choice for the club leaving him with very few options.

He is all set to leave the club in January and it does not come as a surprise that the biggest clubs in his home country are fighting for his signature.
The Italian international is a decent player who can walk into the first team at many a club in Europe and Inter Milan have been monitoring his status for a long time now. They want to improve their defence and want to add Darmian to their squad in January.
However, they will have to battle it out with Italian champions Juventus who have been hit by injury recently. The Italian side have the likes of Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci missing from the squad through injury and the manager at Turin wants Darmian to improve the quality and option to the squad.
Darmian is not the only player linked with a move to Italy as Manchester United outcast Memphis Depay is also reportedly close to a move to Serie A giants AS Roma.

The Rome based outfit are desperate for some attacking additions to their squad and are looking at potential additions in January. A number of names have already been linked with a move to the club but Roma are now desperate to land Depay in January.
The Dutch international has struggled to find any form since his move to Old Trafford and though he revealed his wish to play in the English domestic league in years to come, Roma, are adamant that he is the answer to their short-comings and are ready to spend in January.
Do you think Mourinho should let the duo leave in January?
