Italian manager set to cross Mourinho and Guardiola to become highest paid manager

Former Juventus and Italian manager Marcello Lippi is set to become the highest paid manager in the history of football, according to reports in Italy.
Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande are ready to offer a world record fee for the 68-year old as they are keen to lure him back to the club.
Lippi had earlier managed Guangzhou between 2012 -2014 and have been a sensational success to the club winning three back to back titles before leaving the club in 2014.
The manager boasts an unbelievable 65 percent win percentage with the Chinese and Asian giants as he had improved the game at the club immensely during his reign at the club.
According to Italian media outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Guangzhou are ready to offer a massive £420,000-a-week salary in an attempt to bring him back to the club. This would mean he will be earning roughly £16million-a-year at the club which is going to create a new record for highest paid manager.
He is one of the greatest coaches in Italy as the 68-year old have won five league titles with Juventus in his 9-year spell as well as helped Italy reach world cup glory in 2006.
Manchester City are currently paying a monstrous £15m-a-year salary to Pep Guardiola who took reigns at City earlier this summer. Similarly, their cross-city rivals Manchester United are paying an unbelievable £13.8m-a-year salary to Jose Mourinho.
Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti is the distant third as he earns £9m-a-year with the German giants. Chinese League have recently signed a number of big players from Europe as they are spending heftily to grow the game in their nation.
The league has drawn players like Jackson Martinez, Demba Ba, Ezequiel Lavezzi from various clubs in Europe and are ready to offer huge wages to lure star coaches and players from all across the world.
