Former Chelsea captain and legend John Terry responded on social media to a fan who advised him not to join Frank Lampard’s coaching staff and criticised his coaching career. Just over two years after he was fired from the same position, Lampard was named Chelsea’s manager, on interim basis through the end of the current campaign.
John Terry was one of the firsts to wish Lampard luck after hearing the “unbelievable news” of the legendary midfielder’s return to Stamford Bridge. Although the search for a long-term replacement for Graham Potter continues, Lampard, the club’s all-time leading scorer was named as the interim manager.

John Terry blasts fan for calling him out unnecessarily
Lampard received a number of messages from his former teammates, including John Terry ahead of his second second management debut for the club this weekend. The ex-defender wrote “good luck mate” in response to the Blues’ official Instagram post announcing their ex-manager’s return .
Furthermore the 42-year-old sent a picture of Lampard carrying the Champions League trophy to Twitter along with the words, “Good luck Lamps @ChelseaFC,” and a blue heart emoji. John Terry’s social media engagement prevailed throughout the day as he also sent messages in response to criticism. As Lampard’s homecoming was announced, a Chelsea supporter tweeted:
“Delighted that Lamps is back and excited by the back room appointments. But please don’t add JT to that list. Club legend but Too much golf and not enough coaching experience to warrant inclusion. We’re past the days of barrack-room bombast. #chelsea #cfc”
In response to that specific supporter, Terry who has played more than 700 times for the Blues, responded furiously and defend his accomplishments. The former England international wrote:
“Lazy comment. I have all my coaching badges to coach at the TOP LEVEL in the game. Spent three years at Villa and WON PROMOTION to the Premier League, improved players and individuals year after year. Oh and played at the top level under some of the best managers in the game for 17 years.”

“Also unbelievable news for everyone at Chelsea to have Lamps back I know how this works, Frank has his team and if I went into a job I would have mine. I won’t have people talk nonsense. Lamps is the best player in our history and this is just what we needed. Super Frank.”
Lampard will look to make a quick impression when Chelsea hosts struggling Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday before departing for Madrid. While he will remain in charge until the end of the current campaign, a number of names, including many of their ex-managers like Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, and Carlo Ancelotti, have been linked with permanent position in the summer.
