Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not happy with the current situation at the club. The Red Devils’ coach wants more signings and the adding injury list is not helping his cause either.
After a 4-1 drubbing to Liverpool in International Champions Cup, Mourinho revealed the problems at the club ahead of the new season. The club performed well to finish second last season but have not made top class signings so far this summer.

There were reports that the manager is looking for a centre back reinforcement. However, he is yet to secure any top class centre back for new season. On the other hand, Mourinho also revealed Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw were added to the long injury list.
Meanwhile, Nemenja Matic will also miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery. The injuries just does not stop here. Antonio Valencia was already sent back to Old Trafford after suffering calf injury and new signing Dalot also suffered knee injury.
“I would like to have two more players,” Mourinho told a news conference on Saturday at Michigan Stadium.
“I think I am not going to have two and I think [it] is possible I am going to have one. It is possible, and that one I gave a list to my club five names a few months ago, and I wait to see if it’s possible to have one of these players.
“If it’s possible, it’s possible. And if it’s not, it’s not. If it’s possible, good. If it is not possible, we keep fighting and working and believing in the players that we have.”
The World Cup stars are also set to miss the start of the season as the club are keen to give them ample rest before they begin their preparations.
Jose Mourinho Keen On Centre Back
The Manchester United manager is keen to have a top class central defender in his roster. Considering he has the likes of Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones, there is definitely a need for an upgrade. On the other hand, the future of Marcos Rojo remains uncertain as the player looks to leave the club.

Manchester United were linked with Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng. The German international had expressed his interest in leaving the club on numerous occasions over the course of the summer. But the Red Devils will face plenty of competition from other European rivals like Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona. It remains to be seen if Manchester United management will fulfill the transfer wishes of Jose Mourinho.
