In his first season in the Premier League, Italian manager Antonio Conte is close to landing the Premier League title and his team is also active in the FA Cup, searching for other silverware.
The manager spent an insane amount of money on the squad at the start of the season and has been able to use the likes of David Luiz, N Golo Kante and Marcos Alonso regularly in the first team this season.
Chelsea are currently 10 points above Tottenham Hotspur in the second place in the points table and have all but secured Champions League qualification and this has seen the manager looking to add some quality to first team at the end of the season.
He has been linked to some of the biggest stars in Europe but this might result in a few players from the club leave the Bridge this summer.
One such player who could have moved out even before the start of the season is Spanish midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.
Having already lifted the Premier League with Chelsea, Fabregas has also lifted the La Liga title with Barcelona in Spain and was influential in Arsene Wenger’s title run more than a decade ago.
At just 29, he has plenty of football left in him and he has found some form in the last few games scoring 2 in the last 2 appearances for Chelsea.
He was the man of the match in the victory over Swansea and this has seen Conte look at him as an option for the rest of the season but it is now understood that Fabregas will be a wanted man in the summer.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the midfielder recently but reports from the Telegraph today claim that he could make a move to Italy with AC Milan or make a short switch to Manchester at the Old Trafford.
The 29-year old recently revealed that he would like to stay at the club for a long time. Speaking after the Swansea game, Fabregas said, ‘100 per cent(I am staying at the club).’
‘I am not thinking about anything else than challenging myself here. The situation from six months ago to now has changed massively.
He has an impressive return of 3 goals and 7 assists for Chelsea in just 6 Premier League appearances and is now a wanted by Jose Mourinho at the Old Trafford.
The Portuguese manager wanted to sign the likes of Willian and Nemanja Matic before the start of the season but Chelsea were not ready to sell. But Conte has no problems letting Fabregas join their rivals and Mourinho might be able to add him to his squad in Manchester.
Reports also suggest that AC Milan are ready to make a £27m bid, which might be enough to land him, so Mourinho will have to act fast he wants to land Fabregas this summer. Do you think Fabregas will move to Manchester United this summer?
