Jose Mourinho Rejects Swap Deal For David de Gea From Real Madrid 1

Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have rejected an offer to purchase Real Madrid star Keylor Navas as a part deal for Spanish superstar David de Gea.

The Red Devils are set to lose one of their most valuable stars this summer as Spanish side Real Madrid have made it their top priority to lure Spanish shot-stopper David de Gea to the club this summer.

The 26-year old joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid back in 2011 and has ever since grown into one of the best players in his position, not just in England but also in Europe.

He has been United’s best player in the last couple of season but has been constantly linked with an exit this summer.

The Bernabeu outfit were interested in his services a couple of years ago but a technical issue saw De Gea stay in England and sign a new contract with the Red Devils.

However, with Zinedine Zidane not convinced with his goalkeeping options at the Spanish capital this season, he is eyeing a move for De Gea, to lure him back to his hometown.

There are reports that De Gea has asked the United hierarchy to let him leave this summer and it is reported that Mourinho has decided to send him back to Spain at the end of the season.

So he will be in search of a goalkeeper this summer, and Zidane wants to make Mourinho’ life easier.

According to reports from Spanish news outfit Don Balon, Real Madrid have offered Manchester United the services of their goalkeeper Keylor Navas as a part deal for David de Gea this summer.

The English outfit value the 26-year old at around £60m this summer and Zidane wants Navas to switch to Old Trafford to reduce De Gea’s asking price.

Though exciting, Navas has not been consistent for Real Madrid this season and has been error-prone.

And it is understood that Jose Mourinho has rejected any such offers and is demanding Real Madrid to meet De Gea’s valuation if they are to sign him up this summer.

The report also suggests that Mourinho has three names already lined up as a replacement for De Gea, should Real Madrid come calling.

Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel are constantly scouted by the club for a move at the end of the season.
