Chelsea’s EPL started with less success not as they found in previous season. The new transfers were not as good for example Ex-Manchester United Forward Radamel Falcao. While, Ex-FC Barcelona Winger Pedro Rodriguez is doing his level best, he might take a bit of time to settle in EPL. The Chelsea team of the 2015-2016 season for is too weak to defend the title.
The manager needs to change the Lineup and Revive few players as their main forwards like Loic Remy as the striker and both Falcao, on the left wing, and Pedro on the right wing.
The Midfield of Chelsea is one of the strongest parts for the team and it had chemistry with players like Oscar, Willian, Eden Hazard, Fàbregas and Nemanja Matić, but most of these midfielders have underperformed this season.
The defense of Chelsea is the main factor why Chelsea are in dire straits. The Manager should bring new signings like 23-year-old Michael Hector, the Jamaica international, to the shore up the defense in place of Branislav Ivanović as he is out of form since the start of the season.
Ivanovic has been part of a defence that has collectively struggled this season but while Mourinho has acted in other areas by phasing out captain John Terry and bringing in Kurt Zouma, the right-back has been given every minute of every game besides the meeting with Maccabi.
Baba Rahman The Ghana international, 21, is the another new signing of Chelsea and deserve to be in the first team squad along with John Terry. Rahman watched the defeat to Porto from the bench and he would have wondered, as Ivanovic floundered throughout, how he has not yet been given a consistent chance to prove himself at full-back.
Gary Cahill is another player who can be in the first squad to make the defense hold against the opponent. His performance in the 2015-2016 season is more than average.
It seems Jose Mourinho has settled on Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill as his first choice central defenders. The Chelsea boss will expect this partnership to get stronger as the understanding between the players grows with time.
Th penchant of playing Ivanovic might not have been THE reason why Chelsea lost on Tuesday night, but it certainly smacks of desperation from the Blues boss.
Jose Mourinho has never had such a horrendous start to a campaign with any team that he has managed and no matter how many times he says that it isn’t affecting him, it probably is eating him on the inside.
