Chelsea have officially signed Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina for an estimated fee of £27 Million. Cuadrado is in process of signing a contract with Chelsea as we speak. Cuadrado will be avalable for Chelsea’s next match in the league on 7th February against Aston Villa.

At one moment Cuadrado’s deal looked to be heading south as Chelsea are yet to offload Andre Schrrule to Wolfsburg. Bundesliga side and Chelsea are still playing hard ball over the final few steps in Schrrule’s move to Wolfsburg. It threatened to delay Cuadrado’s move to Stamford Bridge but as it appears, Di Marzio can report now that Cuadrado has officially signed a contract with Chelsea and will be unveliied shortly.

Juan Cuadrado made a big name for himself at the 2014 Fifa World Cup, where he and James Rodriguez lit up the entire World Cup with a brave hearted performances for Colombia. Cuadrado is regarded as one of the very best players, when it comes to breaking defences with a single move or trick. Cuadrado’s trickery will be the key ingridient needed to boost Chelsea’s title march this season.

Juan Cuadrado’s move to Chelsea was not kept as a secret from the media specially when Fiorentina’s director of football openly admitted to the move and Cuadrado’s public goodbyes to Fiorentina’s players and fans signaled anything but the move. Cuadrado was in London on the 31st January as we can understand from his following tweet.

Juan Cuadrado signs for Chelsea in a £27 Million Deadline Day swoop 1

Chelsea have agreed to a fee of £27 Million to secure the services of Juan Cuadrado. Apart from the sum, Chelsea and Fiorentina are holding a meeting about Mohamed Salah now to discuss terms of his loan. There is still a difference on valuation for his loan fee. Salah has already had a medical in London to speed up his exit from Chelsea. Including Salah in the deal will smoothen Cuadrado’s transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will keep a close eye on Andre Schrrule’s move to Wolfsburg. The delay is over the solidarity payment owed to clubs involved in Schrrule’s development, which is five per cent of the transfer fee. Neither club will pay it and there is a stand-off. Wolfsburg may have called a press conference, but Chelsea are not budging, Who will blink first?

Even though, Andre Schrrule’s name has appeared on the Bundesliga’s ‘transfer list’ – but that does not mean that his move from Chelsea to Wolfsburg has been completed. Before any deal can be verified it must have been submitted to the German league via this list, which displays both finalised and proposed transfers.
