Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was once again spotted with Jude Bellingham, who has frequently been mentioned as a major transfer target for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds this summer. With players like Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Thiago Alcantara getting older and past their prime, Jude Bellingham has found himself on Liverpool’s radars while distinguishing himself as a world-class midfielder during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
It is obvious that Jude Bellingham would be the perfect addition to this struggling Liverpool team next season. The Red are bound to finish the season trophyless after they were ousted from the Champions League, which was their last hope of a silverware, by Real Madrid in the round of 16 on an aggregate score of 6-2.
Jude Bellingham reportedly getting out of Liverpool’s reach
Liverpool fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to see Alexander-Arnold now hanging out with Jude Bellingham who has been linked with over half-a-dozen clubs since the last summer. Multiple reports further indicate that the two just got together better, following their seeming close friendship during England’s World Cup campaign. While this season, Alexander-Arnold hasn’t played at his peak level on the pitch, but his work off it could prove to be very beneficial.
The England lads have since been spotted at the O2 Arena in London, where American singer Chris Brown is performing as part of his current European tour. The two have caught up ahead of the Three Lions’ most recent round of international competitions. Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham were also pictured dining together in a restaurant in a Reddit post prior to being snapped at Chris Brown’s concert.

It seems as if the Liverpool is making every effort to bring the highly-rated and fiercely pursued midfielder to Merseyside. However, Jude Bellingham has a contract with Dortmund till 2025, as a result of which the current Bundesliga table-toppers are under no compulsion to sell him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, Liverpool’s prospects of acquiring him have been seriously hampered by a hefty transfer fee and their stance to avoid becoming involved in a bidding war since Dortmund are reportedly holding out for £110 million fee for their wonderkid. Although Bellingham continues to hold a special place in Jurgen Klopp’s heart, it is alleged that Real Madrid and Manchester City are in a better position to close a deal.
If Jude Bellingham were to return to his native land, it would probably cost more than the £106.8 million Chelsea spent to acquire Benfica’s World Cup hero Enzo Fernandez making him the most expensive midfielder ever. According to The Daily Telegraph, Manchester United have since joined the race for the former Birmingham City youngster. Bellingham, who has 168 appearances for his current German employers across all competitions and 22 England international caps, is anticipated to decide on his future in the coming weeks.
Bellingham has kept up his scorching form for Dortmund since returning from the World Cup. The former Birmingham starlet has 10 goals and 6 assists for the German powerhouse this season across all competitions. His contract in Germany has more than two years left. During the international break, Bellingham will also be looking to excel for England. Two Euro 2024 qualifying matches feature the Three Lions taking on Italy and Ukraine.
