Calling Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera ‘lazy’ for pulling Roberto Firmino’s shirt towards the closing final stages of Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp has asked the officials to issue yellow cards for the offence.
Angered by the shirt pull, Firmino retaliated with a shove to Herrera’s chest which led to a heated touchline row between Klopp and Jose Mourinho as the former thought that his Manchester United counterpart was trying to get Roberto Firmino sent off.
Both the players were given yellow card by referee Michael Oliver and Klopp has urged the officials to warn the players as soon as they disrupt the flow of the game with antics like the shirt pulling.

Speaking ahead of his team’s FA Cup clash against Plymouth, the former Borussia Dortmund manager said: “The tactical foul of holding a midfielder – and not because of Herrera, I mean in general – is an offensive action and should, for me, be an immediate yellow card. Only because it is lazy.”
“If you can, try to run to get it, then if not it is a situation.
“Tactical fouls for me are not hard [physical] but they disturb the fluency of the game. For me, it is always yellow but nobody sees it like this,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Reds would be looking to register their first win of this year when they take on Plymouth in the replay of FA Cup third round. Klopp named the youngest starting line-up in Liverpool’s history in the original tie at Anfield, but his youngsters failed to force a result despite enjoying around 80 percent of the possession as they were held to a 0-0 draw by the League Two outfits.
