Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that the club is still awaiting to get a clear picture of Adam Lallana’s injury as the midfielder is likely to miss the Reds’ trip to Southampton.
The playmaker picked up a knock during England’s 2-2 stalemate against Spain in an international friendly earlier this week. He limped off the pitch after only 24 minutes when he failed to shake off a knock from a tackle by Thiago Alacantra.

While admitting that the former Southampton star is close to regaining full fitness, Klopp said that he is still not sure of the extent of the injury. The German tactician said that the club is still waiting for the scan results.
“I would say 95 percent is good news, but with Adam, we don’t know yet exactly,” Klopp told a news conference on Thursday. “Of course, nobody comes off the pitch when they don’t feel anything, and I’ve spoken to him already, he felt [something] but we couldn’t do a scan until now, so we have to wait for this.
“As you can imagine, it will be close. The time until Southampton is short, so I don’t know. Hopefully, it is not too serious, but we have to wait.”
Meanwhile, the manager also had some good news for the fans as he said that the in-form Brazilian duo- Roberto Firmino and Phillipe Coutinho have returned from their Brazil.
Klopp said: “The Brazilian guys came back last night. We tried everything to make it as comfortable as possible to bring them back, but I haven’t seen them or spoken to them because I hope they slept immediately and all that stuff. We will see.”
The Merseyside outfit is currently leading the Premier League with 26 points from 11 games and will look to continue their dominant run when they take on the Saints.
