Juventus are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to Italian media reports.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Miralem Pjanic this week with The Sun claiming Arsene Wenger has contacted the Juventus midfielder.Breaking: Juventus Demand This Arsenal Midfielder During Pjanic Transfer Negotiations 2

The Gunners are said to have prepared a £28million offer and consider the Bosnia and Herzegovina international a long-term replacement for Santi Cazorla.

And according to Italian website CalcioMercatoWeb, Juventus are now weighing up an offer for Aaron Ramsey, should Pjanic choose to leave.

The report says Arsenal have already held talks with Juve regarding Pjanic, during which the Italian club have raised the possibility of taking Ramsey in return.

A deal regarding both players is not expected to be completed in January, with a summer switch the more likely option.

Ramsey is under contract in north London until June 2018 but may consider an exit due to Arsenal’s competition in central midfield.

The Welshman has struggled to compete with new signings Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny as well as Francis Coquelin and Mesut Ozil this term.

Injuries have restricted him to just three Premier League starts and he is yet to score this season in any competition.

He has made 13 appearances in total this campaign, providing two assists.

On the other hand, Pjanic has many of the same attributes that make Cazorla such a key part of Arsenal’s plans: a quick passing game, great vision, good at dribbling and with excellent from set-pieces.

And like Cazorla, Pjanic can drop deep to receive the ball from the back four and quickly instigate an attack. As a like-for-like replacement, Pjanic would fill Cazorla’s boots in a more natural way than Granit Xhaka or Aaron Ramsey, who both have differing playing styles.
