Key Manchester United Star Starts Training Recovering From ‘Mysterious’ Illness
Manchester United centre-back Marocs Rojo has returned to first-team training ahead of their EFL Cup semi-final clash with Hull City.
The Argentine was sidelined due to flu for their Premier League game against Stoke City last Saturday as the Red Devils eventually shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw which has hampered their chances of getting into top four.
Marcos Rojo has attended the game and watched the team play along with the United supporters from the away stand. However, he has looked to fully recover from the flu as he looks set to play in the game against Hull City mid-week.
Manchester United remains the only side in England to still play in all the four competitions possible and the Red Devils will look to make it to finals with a commanding performance against Hull City as they play away from home in the second leg.
The Red Devils have managed an impressive 2-0 win in the first leg despite incredible resistance from Hull City in the opening hour at Old Trafford. Goals from Juan Mata and Fellaini has sealed the first leg for Manchester United as they look favorites to make it to the finals of the EFL Cup this season.
Marcos Rojo remains an important player for Mourinho as the Argentine has been in the best form this season after shifting to the central defense. The emergence of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo in the central defense has helped Mourinho as the club have dropped plans of signing Victor Lindelof which was expected to happen a long time ago.
He has featured for Manchester United in 23 games so far and is set to play a major role in the business end of the season as he has been in incredible form in the back off late.
