Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has yet again injured himself as he was subbed off after 58th minute for Tyrell Warren while playing for Under 23s on Monday night.
Bailly has recently returned from the African Cup of Nations as he played for Ivory Coast in the iconic tournament. He was back at the club last week but Mourinho has not used him in the mid week FA Cup.
However, he was withdrawn as a precaution by the coaching staff. The injury is hopefully not serious as he was able to sit on the sidelines for the rest of the match with a strapping on his foot.
Mourinho have not allowed any major players to play for the reserves this season as he has let only Sam Johnstone who is the third choice goal keeper at the club to get some playing time with the U-23s. But the Portuguese tactician has allowed Bailly to play due to Regan Poole‘s suspension.
It will be a matter of concern both for the player as well as Manchester United as the player has already missed seven weeks due to knee injury earlier this season.
The 22-year old has moved to Old Trafford from Villarreal earlier this summer and have become a cornerstone in their central defense. He has been by far their best defender so far this season.
Despite incredible form of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo, Bailly is still the best defender for the club so far this season as his physicality and passing technique has helped Mourinho so much in his debut season.
It looked as a minor injury and Manchester United fans will be hoping to see their star back on the pitch as early as possible as the club is still fighting across all the four competitions.
