Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in his pre match press conference before the game against Leicester made it clear that there will be no deal done by the club before the end of the transfer window.

However, he gave the fans some good news as he revealed that Liverpool have ‘four new signings’ in the up-coming days.

The Merseyside club has been hit by injuries recently but the German manager said that four of his first team players are closing in on returning from injury.

Defender Martin Skrtel, star players Phillipe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge and young Divock Origi are all set to return to training this weekend as Klopp will now be able to juggle a stronger team.

Talking to the media, Klopp said, “Skrtel needs two or three days more before returning to training. Sturridge should return to training on Wednesday, Origi and Coutinho on Thursday. These are our new signings.”

Central defender Martin Skrtel missed 5 weeks of football due to hamstring injury while Coutinho has not been available since the first leg against Stoke at the Britannia.

Origi picked up an injury in the Boxing day fixture and with almost 8 games in the next month Klopp will be happy with the squad reaching full strength.

The biggest new perhaps will be the return of star striker Daniel Sturridge who will have to earn some faith from the Kop and the Klopp who are fast losing patience with his injury prone career.

Sturridge has been an impact player for Liverpool but has just not been able to settle into the team due to various injuries and has missed 54% of the games since his move to the Merseyside from Chelsea.

He was linked with a move away from Liverpool to the Upton Park but Jurgen Klopp seems to be patient with the England international who will have to keep himself going even through pain if he wants to stay at the club at the start of the next season.

Phillipe Coutinho will also be an important addition to Liverpool’s front line and it will be interesting to see how the Brazilian is accommodated in the front line.

Liverpool will play in all four competitions this month and will need all the depth they can get to get through this tricky period without too many upsets.
