Want to be a professional cricketer?
For a club that were entering the first transfer window of a new era and needing some serious personnel improvement have been rather sedate this January window as Jurgen Klopp has yet to add a world class player to the squad he took over from Brendan Rodgers.
With just more than 24 hours left for the transfer window to close, a lot of rumors are doing the rounds but how many of them have any real life to it? Read on to find out the round up of all the Liverpool transfer rumors for today:
Juventus forward Alvaro Morata has now reportedly risen to the top of the wish list at Anfield as per reports from Calcimercato.
The ex-Real Madrid man has not been able to keep up the sensational form from last season and has fallen down the pecking order after the breakthrough of Paulo Dybala.
It is now believed that Liverpool are in battle with Chelsea and Tottenham for the Spanish front man’s signature.
However, Juventus are believed to be reluctant to sell the 23-year-old for any price.
Over in Spain, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Real Madrid winger Dennis Cheryshev for a move this January.
Radio station Cope believes the Russian is on his way to Anfield, although it is not certain whether it is on loan or permanently.
Liverpool were not interested in him in the summer, despite often being linked, but now the Madrid man has been linked with an Anfield move once more.
With just 117 minutes of football under his belt, Cheryshev is not really in the plans under Zidane and is likely to make the move as per the reports.
Liverpool loanee Mario Balotelli is apparently on his way back to Liverpool this summer. Italian franchise AC Milan are not really keen on making the loan move for Mario permanent as per La Stampa.
So it is now understood that the Italian striker could be back to Merseyside at the end of the season.
In other news, academy forward Jerome Sinclair is understood to be on standby to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Watford City before the end of the transfer window.
The Merseysiders are holding out for a £3million fee for Sinclair after rejected Watford’s opening bid.
A source close to the situation has told Football insider that the two clubs remain in negotiations and a deal in the final hours of the window remains possible.
And to wrap it off, Calcimercato claimed that PSG striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has been told by the club that he is free to leave and it is understood that Liverpool are keen on brining him to Anfield this window.
Though Laurent Blanc, the PSG manager made it clear that the player will not move until the end of the season, it is to be seen if Jurgen Klopp will lay want to lay his hands on the Argentine and if a late deal could be stuck before the window closes.
