Chelsea Fans Will Not Like It: Klopp Trolls Antonio Conte's Boys In Style 1

Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1 earlier this season which saw new Blue boss Antonio Conte switch to his preferred 3-4-3 formation for a turnaround. In the clash at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea were literally outclassed by Liverpool’s high pressing style as Liverpool went 2-0 up within Half time. Defender Dejan Lovren opened Liverpool’s scoring while Jordan Henderson doubled the lead with a stunner beating Chelsea Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois at the top corner. Chelsea, however, came back into the match in the second half when Diego Costa netted Chelsea’s opener from Nemanja Matic’s pass giving the West London club some hope. But the Blues failed to grab an equalizer which saw Liverpool edge past Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the second time in a row.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp who seems to be overwhelmed with his team’s recent success has joked that Chelsea’s new set-up was partly provoked by their loss at the hands of the Merseyside outfit.

Klopp quotes “Maybe Chelsea… they changed their formation after we played them!”

Antonio Conte, since switching to the new 3-4-3 formation has enjoyed huge success as Chelsea has won 5 games on the bounce conceding no goals and scoring 16. The five wins were dominating victories which included wins over the likes of Manchester United, Everton, and premier league winners Leicester City.

Chelsea now sits second in the league table with 25 points from 11 games only second to Liverpool who are at 26 points topping the premier league chart. With only a difference of 1 point between Chelsea and Liverpool, the reds cannot take things easy by any means. The next travel to Southampton for a clash at the St.Mary’s whereas Chelsea face Middlesbrough in an away fixture.
