Lazio to battle Sunderland for Manchester United star 1

According to TalkSport, Italian outfit Lazio have entered the race to sign out of favour Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj.

The 21-year old is expected to leave the club this summer citing lack of first team opportunities going into the new season under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The Belgian international has already drawn interest from Premier League clubs like Everton and Sunderland but Lazio are the latest to enter the race as they look favorites to sign the young pacey winger.

With Antonio Candreva expected to leave Lazio for Chelsea, manager Simone Inzaghi is in the market to sign a talented winger and sees Januzaj as a good option.

Januzaj burst into the Manchester United lineup back in 2013/14 season under David Moyes as he has shown great signs of becoming a talented player as he scored 4 goals in 27 Premier League appearances.

However, he lost his way in the first team under Louis van Gaal as he was eventually sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund last season but has failed to make an impact even at the German club. He managed only 12 appearances for the German giants before his loan deal was cut short.

But newly appointed Sunderland manager David Moyes is also interested in signing the youngster as he is plotting a £10million bid to seal the move for Januzaj.
