Lionel Messi To Agree Massive Barcelona Contract Extensions!!
Barcelona have been active in terms of contract renewals recently.
As well as Javier Mascherano and Sergio Busquets in recent times, both Neymar and Luis Suarez have extended their stay at the Nou Camp by putting pen to paper and Barcelona have been desperate to tie down the third and perhaps most important piece of the MSN trio, Lionel Messi, to a new contract.
There have been mixed reports on Messi’s situation, with some outlets suggesting negotiations were not progressing well.
His existing contract is up in 2018.
However, Barca first-team secretary Robert Fernandez said that contract talks were going smoothly and was “convinced” that Messi would commit his future to the club along with teammates Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Andres Iniesta.
And now journalist Tancredi Palmeri, who is admittedly hit and miss when it comes to news, is reporting that Barcelona have offered Messi a massive new deal, with a yearly pay packet of €40m euros – which roughly equates to £34 million-a-year.

Palmeri says that should Messi accept the offer, he will rake in the same level of wages that Carlos Tevez will receive after signing for Shanghai Shenhua.
Tevez is expected to earn a weekly wage of around £610,000, though he recently denied that his wages are as high as the reported numbers.
Comments from club directors earlier this month raised further doubts about the Argentine international’s future, with the English press reporting that Manchester City remained interested.
Diario Sport reports that the offer to Messi will be until 2022 and that recent new contracts for Suarez and Neymar were a key part of convincing him to stay.
Club president Bartomeu has already claimed that the club are prepared to make him the best paid player in the world and Fernandez is in awe of how, despite turning 30 later this year, he just seems to keep getting better.
