According to latest reports, AS Monaco have slashed the price tag for striker Radamel Falcao after the club got sanctioned for a breach of Financial Fair Play regulations recently.
Monaco have agreed a deal in which Manchester United can sign the striker for £43m if they wish to sign the play after his loan spell at Old Trafford. Failing to live up to his price tag Falcao have managed a mere 4 goals in 25 appearences for the Red Devils this season.
The player is expected to return to Monaco at the end of the season but with the price slashed Liverpool and Chelsea have reportedly turned their attention for the services of El Tigre.
Monaco is ready to sell the striker for £20m to overcome their financial crisis and pay their fine to UEFA for the coming seasons. Liverpool are looking for a striker as Mario Ballotelli, Borini and Lambert have all failed and Sturridge is injured for most of the season. They are in need of a good striker to make a claim to Champions League finsih next season.
Chelsea are reportedly looking for a back-up to Diego Costa as the Spanish International is getting injured often and Falcao would provide a viable option to Mourinho in the absence of Diego Costa.
Manchester United’s unwillingness to retain the striker have plummeted the striker’s value and getting Falcao to as less as £20m would be a real bargain to any club that buys him.
