A comeback from 1-0 down at the Liberty Stadium to take all three points will give Liverpool loads of confidence going into the international break and Jurgen Klopp will hope that his team can keep up the good work after the break.
The Reds are slowly showing signs of a title challenge and has got fans all over the world excited. They have been busy this weekend, with a number of stories doing the rounds around the club.
Here are all such transfer rumors and other stories that are coming out of Anfield this weekend:
Injury number 1:
After the game against Swansea City, Jurgen Klopp felt that his team could have done better than they did even after the victory.
He also revealed that star center back Dejan Lovren picked up a knee injury during the game and is now ruled out of the World Cup qualifiers in the international break. (Echo)
Injury number 2:
The Swansea City game saw Liverpool lose one of their star players early in the game.
English international Adam Lallana picked up a groin injury in the first half at the Liberty Stadium and is now ruled out of the qualifiers for England in the international break. (BBC)
Injury number 3:
One of the most consistent performers for Liverpool at the back in recent times, Nathaniel Clyne was impressive in the game against Swansea.
However, the England international became the 3rd Liverpool player to pick up an injury leading into the international break. He has a knee injury that will keep him out of the World Cup qualifiers. (Echo)
French midfielder on Liverpool radar:
Liverpool have been keeping tabs on players that fit their bill for a move in the next transfer windows.
Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is now on Liverpool’s transfer list. He will come with high wages but Liverpool are prepared to pay for him and are planning to make a loan move in January. (Web Calcio)
Danny scores hat-trick for U23:
Liverpool have some enviable depth in their squad this season. They have not been able to give enough game time for quality players in the squad.
One player who is now making an impact in the U23 games is England international Danny Ings. The 24-year old has been impressive for the junior side and will demand a place in the senior squad in weeks to come.
Merseyside battle for Spanish striker:
Liverpool have a plethora of strikers and are not able to give everyone enough chances to prove themselves.
Yet rumors are doing the rounds that Liverpool will battle it out for Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams for a move in January. Ronald Koeman’s Everton are also interested in the attacker who has a £50m release clause. (English press)
