Liverpool Daily Digest: Transfer Rumors and More!

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool managed to back up their league victory over Sunderland with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Leeds United in the quarter-final of the League Cup this week. They’ve set up a crunch semi-final against Southampton later this season and the manager will now turn his attention towards the trip to the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
Liverpool’s squad has recently been hit by a few injures, forcing Klopp to act in the January transfer window. Here are all such transfer rumors and other interesting stories coming out of Anfield today:
Key Duo Fit For Bournemouth:
The Reds have recently been struck by injuries with Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge all set to miss out this weekend along with Philippe Coutinho.
However, the manager provided some great news for the fans after he revealed Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip will be back in action for this weekend’s game against Bournemouth. (Metro)
Juventus Want Kessie:
The Reds are desperate for addition to their mid-field and have scouted Atlanta’s young mid-fielder Franck Kessie for a move in January.
Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested but Juventus have now managed to convince him to put pen to paper and will most likely sign him in January. (Daily Star)
Mignolet Wanted By West Ham United:
The Belgian has shown dissent on social media for being the second choice show stopper at the club and it is evident he might leave the club if he gets a good offer.
West Ham United are not happy with either Adrian or Randolph in between the sticks and want Chelsea’s Aasmir Begovic or Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet to replace them in the first team. (Metro)
Polish Striker Wanted:
Liverpool are in desperate need of some additions to their attack and have been looking at some of the best players in Europe for a move in January.
Dynamo Kiev striker Lukasz Teodorczyk is the latest name on the radar for the Reds with Jurgen Klopp readying a £12m bid for him in January. (Daily Star)
Woodburn Nominated:
The youngster had a great week, making his senior debut for the side and also scoring his first goal in Liverpool colors in the League Cup.
His exploits have seen him getting nominated for the Player of the Month (November) award for Liverpool mainly for his exploits with the youth side. (Liverpool Echo)
