According to reports from Squawka, Liverpool are lining up a huge transfer bid for Borussia Dortmund’s winger Marco Reus. The Reds have officially sold Raheem Sterling for a whopping ₤49million yesterday as City secured the young winger’s signing.
Sterling has been linked to a move to City ahead of others as the deal is finally done and the Reds are keen to cash in the cheque they received from Manchester City. The Reds are long time admirers of Marco Reus and he has been linked with the Kop for the past three seasons.
Reus have signed a new contract at Dortmund very recently making his release clause is worth nearly ₤50 million. The Reds are ready to offer Dortmund a ₤46million. Dortmund have not completely ruled out the move if a huge offer arrives at their table.
The 25-year old shares a special bond with Jurgen Klopp who left Dortmund this summer after a seven year spell at Signal Iduna Park which could prompt the move to happen.
Barcelona are also interested in the player but given their transfer ban and the reason Reus cannot play for the Catalan club made the player concerned about his move to Camp Nou which boosted the chances of Liverpool.
