Liverpool Fans Gutted As Philippe Coutinho Suffers Serious Injury
Nov 26, 2016 at 10:40 PM
Liverpool suffered a huge injury blow during the game against Sunderland as one of their most important players, Philippe Coutinho was stretchered off in the first half.
The in-form midfielder hurt his ankle after being challenged by Didier Ndong while trying to kick a ball. The Liverpool star was floored with that challenge and was seen grimacing. There were immediate calls for medical treatment with a stretcher signalled on to the pitch. Initial signs are not looking for the Brazil international as his right foot was put in a brace while he was carried off.
The Merseyside club is already missing one of their key players- Adam Lallana due to an injury and if Coutinho’s injury is serious,it might dent their title chances. Daniel Sturridge is also out of action after picking up a calf strain in training during the week.
As expected, the Liverpool fans were gutted with the injury and took to Twitter to express their feelings. Here are some of the reactions:

Looks like Coutinho is out for 6 months. Perhaps as well Liverpool won the league 3 weeks ago, they'd have been worried otherwise.
