Liverpool fans are looking frustrated with the recent showings from the Reds and especially the manager Brendan Rodgers. Their patience has now run thin after a humiliating 3-1 loss against Manchester United last Saturday.
Liverpool fans want the Northern Irishman to be sacked and replaced with Jurgen Klopp who is now without a job since departing from Borussia Dortmund.
But Liverpool needs to pay Rodgers €10m (£7m) as compensation he is stripped from his job.
A Liverpool fan started a Go Fund Me page to raise enough money to sack Brendan Rodgers as Liverpool manager.
In the description for the crowd funding page, the author writes: “fans are so desperate to get rid of him that we’re willing to pay for his sacking”.
Brendan Rodgers’ time is up, there’s not much more of this insipid football anyone can take. From the horrific signings to tired cliches – enough is enough”, the furious fundraiser added.
Brendan Rodgers has come under pressure from the fans as well as ex-players for applying wrong tactics in the games.
Liverpool legend and current Sky sports pundit Jamie Carragher has blasted Rodgers for his obsession to play 4-3-3 with a team that does not suit the tactics.
Former Liverpool star Dietmar Hammann added pressure to the gaffer by saying Klopp would be perfect for Liverpool who is fans’ favourite to take over the job at Anfield.
Time is not going well for Rodgers and he has to get the best out of his team to save his job. Fans have already lost faith in him and the owners Fenway Sports Group will not back him for long if he continues to disappoint.
Despite splashing a lot of money during his charge at Liverpool, Rodgers has nothing to show for as he is still searching for the first trophy of his career.
However, the only good news for Rodgers is that fans are still far from collecting the huge sum of money needed as compensation to get him sacked as the current collection is only €375.
