Liverpool keep tabs on Swansea new-boy who has made a bright start to new PL campaign
Liverpool made a great start to their campaign after the international break by defeating the Champions of England in the first game of the new season at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp revealed that his team still needs to work on a few weak links in the squad but revealed that he was happy with his team’s performance in the game against Leicester City this weekend.
However, that has not kept him from looking at potential targets to add to his squad in January or at the end of the season.
One such player who is now on the radar of the Anfield outfit is Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer.
The former QPR midfielder joined that Liberty outfit this summer on a €5.6m deal and has made a sizzling start to his career at Swansea.
He has already scored thrice this season and is starting a new chapter in his career in the Premier League.
The 26-year old is currently a first choice player for Swansea City but the superb start he has had to the season has seen Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool take notice and ponder over a move for him in the next transfer window.
The Dutch international has played for a host of English clubs but has not been able to settle at the club for a long time.
He has not found consistency in his game that will attract top European clubs but the start he has made to the season is a good sign for his career.
This has seen Calciomercato, an Italian website, run a short story on how he is attracting interest from Liverpool already.
Though the piece from the website in vague, the start Fer has made to the season makes him an attractive prospect for Liverpool.
But it is to be seen if Swansea City will be ready to let go of the player in just a year since his move to the club.
The Anfield outfit has Georginio Wiljnaldum in their ranks already and will hope that his Dutch connection with the Swansea midfielder might help them land the 26-year old next summer.
Do you think Liverpool should move for Leroy Fer in the summer transfer window?
