Liverpool Legend Blasts Jose Mourinho For His Never Ending Critical Comments 1

Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho has been critical of his players since taking over at Old Trafford earlier this summer.

The Portuguese tactician has criticised Henrikh Mkhitaryan for not adapting to the league in the early days and have put him on the bench for the first three months at the club.

He has also been critical about Anthony Martial recently as he has dressed down his players in public since the start of the season.

Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann believes that the 54-year old should concentrate more on building the confidence in his players than criticizing them in public.

“He’s come out with some strange comments this season,” Hamann told MOTD2.

“He’s calmed down over the last couple of months, which probably coincided with a good run of results.

“But I don’t get it when you go public about your players. At some stage you will need them again. It’s a squad game.

“He very publicly named Mkhitaryan at the start of the season (plus) one or two others.

“At some stage you need these players and I just don’t know what he wants to achieve by having a go at everybody.

“You need to give the players belief. If you don’t have the winning mentality, apart from Rooney and Carrick as he mentions, that’s why he is there.

“Do it. Try to instil the winning mentality and bring some trophies to the club.

“That’s why he’s there, that’s why he gets top dollar. So do it.”
Manchester United have done reasonably good in the recent months but are still sixth in the league and they are the only English team that are still playing in all the four competitions this season.

The Red Devils however are still yet to but their peak form this season and Jose believes that they could make it to the top four which would see them return back to Champions League football.
