Sadio Mane could make a sensational return to Liverpool this summer, according to recent media reports in Germany. Just a season ago, the Senegal superstar decided to end his highly successful association with Liverpool to sign up for Bayern Munch in a deal worth up to £35m.
Sadio Mane exited Anfield after helping a key role in yet another memorable season for the Reds where they finished runner-up in the Premier League as well as the UEFA Champions League in addition to winning the FA Cup and the League Cup. His last appearance for Liverpool was the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Paris.
His departure came as a huge shock to the footballing world as not many had expected him and the club to part ways so soon. But for reasons not yet known to the public, Sadio Mane decided to move the Germany. However, the move has not really yielded the desired results as the star winger has failed to hit the ground running with Bayern Munich.

Sadio Mane to Liverpool a possibility:
With things not working out well in Germany, there is a possibility that Liverpool could bring back Sadio Mane back to Anfield as a part of a major shake-up after a disastrous campaign in the recently-concluded season. The Reds missed out on the Champions League spot as they finished fifth.
Their performance in the Champions League, FA Cup and the League Cup was not good either and it could compel the Liverpool management to shake things up. And one of the possibilities could be to bring Sadio Mane back. The Champions League-winning star has managed only seven Bundesliga goals in his debut season.
After making a promising start, he was hit by a leg injury in November that also ruled him out of the FIFA World Cup. He returned to action in February but failed to hit the top gear. He was also involved in a bust-up with teammate Leroy Sane after Bayern’s Champions League defeat to Manchester City in April. Following the incident, he was suspended by the club and has played just a bit-part role towards the end of the season.
According to German outlet BILD, Bayern Munich chiefs are planning a ‘drastic shake-up’ after almost losing out on the title to Borussia Dortmund. The club chairman Herbert Hainer has already axed CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. And Mane could be on his way out too. As per reports, he could rejoin the Reds ahead of the next season.
