Liverpool make offer for star Real Madrid youngster who is desperate for move 1

Liverpool have been rather sedated in the last couple of days with Jurgen Klopp, the manager at the club seemingly finishing off most of his planned deals this summer.

The manager has bought in a number of quality players since the start of the transfer window and though is a bit weak at certain places in the squad, has completed most of his transfer business.

But one player who is now linked with a move to Liverpool in the remainder of the transfer window is Real Madrid star Martin Odegaard.

The 17-year old Norwegian is a fan for the English outfit and was on the trail at the club, among many others, before his move to Real Madrid from Stromsgodset.

At his age, Real Madrid were never going to provide him with enough game time and just one year later, the youngster is linked with a  loan move away from the club in search of regular football.

Recent reports have linked him with a move to West Ham United but it is now understood that Liverpool have tabled an offer for the youngster for a move this summer.

Spanish media outlet AS revealed earlier last week that the player and his father are looking for an interest from Jurgen Klopp the manager at Anfield who impressed the duo with his work at the club. No further reports of any interest from Liverpool were reported until today.

But now it looks like Liverpool want to cash in on the player’s interest and want to bring him to Anfield this summer.

Marca, another media outlet ran a story earlier today that Jurgen Klopp is fond of the youngster and though he may not be able to give him ample game time, he is ready to take him to Anfield and is excited to work with him.

Marca, unlike AS, stated that the Odegaard family prefer a move to Germany  but Liverpool’s affiliation with Klopp, a German, is said to be enough for the player to make the move this summer.

It will be interesting to see where he fits in an already strong attacking squad at Anfield if Liverpool does land the player in the coming days.

Other reported have indicated interests from Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen but the player’s affiliation with the English outfit give Liverpool the first bite of the cherry.

Do you think Liverpool should move for Odegaard this summer?
