Liverpool Plan To Hijack £30m Rated Chelsea Target To Boost Attacking line 1

Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic.

That’s according to Italian football paper the Gazzetta dello Sport, who have linked the Reds with a bid for the dangerous Croatian as another option in their potent front line.

The playmaker, who would be likely to cost over £30m according to the Daily Mirror, has been a consistent performer at the top level for some time now for Inter and it’s surprising that he hasn’t already made the move to the Premier League already.

Chelsea have also been linked with the 27-year-old, who has been in fine goalscoring form this season despite some mixed results for the Nerazzuri.

The former Dortmund and Wolfsburg forward might be tempted to try his luck in the Premier League now he’s at the height of his powers, but with new Chinese owners at Inter, he might also want to stick around and see how much he gets offered in his next contract.

However, Inter hierarchy has now reportedly set its eyes on two of the Premier League’s deadliest strikers Aguero and Costa, as replacements for the potential departure of one of their key attackers.

Perisic, 27, has been in fine form this season, and his partnership with Mauro Icardi in attack is among the best in Serie A.

His form has not gone unnoticed by Jurgen Klopp, who is in the market for a new striker to ease the burden on Coutinho and feel the void in Sadio Mane’s absence.

Perisic scored twice as his side came from a goal down to beat Udinese on Jan 8, before netting an 86th-minute winner against Chievo a week later.

Having signed from Wolfsburg for around £13.5million in 2015, Inter would be happy to let him go for a massive profit — as long as they could bring in a high-profile replacement.
