Liverpool continued their impressive form in recent weeks as they hammered Mike Phelan’s Hull City side at a renovated Anfield on Saturday. A brace of penalties from Milner along with goals from Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane and Phillipe Coutinho gave the hosts a comfortable 5-1 victory as the newly promoted side had no answers to the slick play from the hosts. The visitors went down to 10 men at the half-hour mark in the first half as ElMohmady handled a ball that was goal bound on the line. All in all, it was a comfortable victory for Liverpool, who are slowly climbing up the points table.
Here are the player ratings for the Reds in this victory:
Loris Karius (6):
Hardly had anything to do whole game and could not do much to stop the only Hull goal on a fairly comfortable night for the Liverpool goalkeeper.
Nathaniel Clyne (7):
Stuck to his task well on the flank as he kept an almost nonexistent Hull City attack at bay for most of the game.
Joel Matip (6):
Growing in confidence with every game, Matip was once again assured at the back as he won a number of balls from the back to keep Liverpool up for most of the game.
Ragnar Klavan (7):
The former Bundesliga defender came into the game to replace an ill Lovren and put in a superb effort at the back. He was all over the Hull City attack and though had a nervy, was on top for most of the game.
James Milner (8):

A constant nuisance for Hull on the flank, Milner was arguably the best player on the pitch for Liverpool. He tucked in two cool penalties and also created a number of chances for his side on the night.
Jordan Henderson (7):
A constant presence in the midfield for Liverpool, Henderson, controlled the game to his will and was comfortable in the midfield for Liverpool which was hardly tested.
Adam Lallana (8):
Another superb game for the Englishman who is now adding goals to his game. He picked up his third league goal of the season with a nice turn and will hope to keep up his form for the side.
Georginio Wijnaldum (7):
The Dutch international is unlucky to not have scored for the side yet but he was yet again an influential player in the midfield for the Reds as they dominated the game for a long time.
Sadio Mane (7):
Scored a goal and set up Coutinho for a sitter that he missed in another important performance from the former Southampton winger who has now become an integral part of the side.
Phillipe Coutinho (8):
Scored the best goal of the week so far from outside the box to give Liverpool a goal 7 touches after Hull found the back of the net. He also set up the goal for Lallana on another productive night for the Brazilian.
Roberto Firmino (6):
Misplaced a few passes on the night as he was a bit off color but there was no complaining his effort on and off the ball in a decent night for the Brazilian.
Subs:
Daniel Sturridge (7):
Came in with around 20 minutes to play and almost created a couple of goals. Won the second penalty for his side on the night as he keeps impressing in every outing.
Emre Can (5):
Still way off full match fitness, Can, got some much-needed minutes under his belt but was not his usual self in the midfield.
Marko Grujic (6):
Got very few chances to get on the ball late in the game but showed that he has no problem with the physical challenges of the English league.
