Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have made a sizzling start to this campaign, losing just one of the 10 games in the league this season. They are now unbeaten in their last 11 games in all competitions and are looking like one of the strongest outfits in the League this season.
The likes of Joel Matip, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge have all been in decent form this season helping the side to some impressive victories but one player who is easily the man of the season for the Reds so far is Brazil international Philippe Coutinho.
Having won the player of the season award for the club in the last two Premier League campaigns, Coutinho, is now one of the most important players for the side this season.
He has scored 4 goals and assisted a further 4 so far in 10 League games this season and is one of the most inform players in the League.
At, 24 he has a big future ahead of him so it comes as no surprise that some of the biggest clubs in Europe are ready to make a move for him after the end of the season.
The likes of Real Madrid and PSG are linked with a move for Coutinho while Barcelona want Neymar Jr, Coutinho’s close friend and Luis Suarez, his former team mate to lure him to the Camp Nou.
They have already registered their interest in the Brazilian and that saw the English outfit take swift action.
Less than 24 hours after Barcelona were linked with their player, Liverpool were reportedly offering him a new contract extension, the 2nd one in an years time.
Surely Coutinho is the most important player in the side and Klopp has no intentions of letting him go. But with top clubs calling, it might be hard for Liverpool to keep him at the club for a long time.
So the Reds have now come up with another solution for this problem.
According to reports today, Phillipe Coutinho is now valued at a mesmerizing £68m and the European giants will have to meet the valuation for Liverpool to even start negotiations with the club.
It is not the perfect way to fend off interests for important player but Klopp knows that this Liverpool side can go a long way and he wants to keep the core of the side for a long time.
French giants PSG are also reportedly interested in the Brazilian and the same report suggest that they are not fazed by his asking price.
£68m might be a bit too much for Coutinho but if he can keep up his form from early this season, there will be more than one team to reach his valuation.
