Liverpool Star Sends Message To Fans After Injury scare 1

Liverpool centre-forward Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he has got a virus and he will return to training very soon, the illness of Daniel Sturridge has cost him to miss Liverpool’s warm-weather training camp in La Manga.

Sturridge, who has had been suffered from the series of injuries in recent seasons, has returned to Liverpool while the bulk of the Reds squad travelled abroad, with their next game not until February 27th, when they face Leicester City.

The 27-year-old has revealed via his personal Instagram that virus isn’t serious and that he will return to action with the first-team by next week when the players return to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has revealed Liverpool are in talks with players over summer transfers, but Champions League football will affect business.

Klopp has described the Spain training camp as a “pre-season” as the club look to prepare for the tail end of the current campaign and the challenge to secure Champions League football, but the Liverpool manager has admitted he is already in negotiations to add to his squad for the 2017-18 season.

“We are in talks with different people – players, agents, all that stuff,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.

“Not a lot of decisions have been already made at this point. Why should they at this stage?

“But we are on the way. At the end I’m sure we will have a really good squad.

“We already have a good squad and a few more good players will make it even better. There’s a good base.”

Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham last weekend was their first league win of 2017, having also been dumped out of the FA Cup and the EFL Cup since the turn of the New Year.

Klopp’s side will return from their temporary Spain base on Sunday looking to improve on their current fifth-place standing in the Premier League, and the German coach admits he will scale Liverpool’s summer business on whether or not they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
