This would be a sensational return, especially after Balotelli and his agent have mentioned he is happy he left AC Milan and he would not want a to return to Seria A.
Balotelli has been linked with a few Italian teams this summer, Sampdoria, Bologna, Fiorentina and Lazio have all shown interested in the striker.
Balotelli joined Liverpool last summer for £16m, but he has failed to impress at Anfield after scoring only one league goal in the entire Premier League.
Brendan Rodgers has openly told Balotelli he is not part of his plans for the new season and he has been forced to train away from the first-team.
