Saido Berahino has made it quite clear of his intentions to quit West Brom next season but vows to help West Brom avoid relegation this season. Liverpool have been tracking Berahino for some time now and it will come as a welcome news for Liverpool fans as he confirms that he will leave next season.
Berahino has scored 14 goals this season for West Brom and he beleived his increasing Goal Scoring will lead him on to ,“Bigger and Better things”.
Berahino burst on the scene this season with goals in the early half of the season. His form dipped in between but since Tony Pulis has taken over at West Brom, Berahino has found his goals scoring touch once again.
Berahino was speaking to Sky Sports and he was heard saying, ‘I’m taking care of my short-terms right now and if I keep scoring the goals and if I keep doing well for West Bromwich Albion, I know the future will be bright for me and I know that I’ll go a long way.
‘I need to stay focused on what I’m doing right now which is scoring the goals and keeping West Bromwich in the Premier League.
‘If I can keep them in the Premier League and score as much goals as I can, I’m pretty sure the fans wouldn’t mind me pushing on and moving on to bigger things. So I want to ensure that I keep them first in the Premier League and score as much goals as I can for them.’
Liverpool and Tottenham have been previously linked with a move for Berahino and following the striker’s recent comments, West Brom will be braced with a £25 Million bid for the England International striker. Berahino is quite aware of the interest he is attracting from the other clubs but remains focused on helping West Brom avoid relegation this term.
Berahino went on to say: ‘I’m just flattered to be linked to all these sort of teams, but I stay focused. This is my second season in the Premier League and I still have a long way to go.
‘I’m learning a lot from all sorts of different players. For me I just look forward to each game and try to enjoy as much as possible.’
