Liverpool is keeping their eyes on Paris Saint-Germain youngsters Christopher Nkunku and Lamine Ba.

Liverpool sent their scouts to watch two highly-rated Paris Saint-Germain youngsters in action in their recent Uefa Youth League game against Real Madrid.

The Reds are reportedly keeping tabs on the progress of striker Christopher Nkunku and defender Lamine Ba, according to the Daily Express.

Jurgen Klopp has inherited a struggling squad from his predecessor Brendan Rodgers, and it seems likely that he could try to strengthen in the January transfer window.

Nkunku seems to have ruled out the prospect of leaving PSG for now, but 18-year-old defender Ba could be a good addition if Liverpool can persuade him to in their side.

As Klopp got his first 1-0 win over Bournemouth with Liverpool during the Capital One Cup, he will look forward to signing few players for the attacking midfield and defence.

Attacking midfielder Nkunku impressed in the 4-1 win with two goals, while 18-year-old Ba played an important role in the heart of the defence.

The Reds are evidently planning for the future under new boss Jurgen Klopp, but face an uphill battle to sign the pair, who are thought of very highly at the Parc des Princes.

17-year-old Nkunku also revealed in the summer that he intends to remain at the Ligue 1 giants while Ba only joined from Guingamp in the summer.

Nkunku said: “I am at PSG. This is the club where I developed. I am going to do everything I can to sign a professional contract here.”

When asked if he’s already talked with PSG over a deal, he added: “No, it has not yet been a topic that we have discussed together. But if it is supposed to happen, it will happen.”

The Reds are also still among the leading contenders for the Gabon international, who was brought to Dortmund by Jurgen Klopp during his time in charge.

Now at Anfield, the German manager looks in need of strengthening his attack this January and Aubameyang looks the ideal buy after his incredible start to 2015/16.

The 26-year-old has 13 goals in ten Bundesliga matches, a record which has also caught the attention of PSG, who will know the player well from his time in Ligue 1 with Saint-Etienne.
