Latest reports suggest that Liverpool are going to bid for Manchester City’s striker Stevan Jovetic this summer. WIth Mario Balotelli expected to leave Anfield this summer, Liverpool are considering possible transfer targets to replace Balotelli as a striker.

The former Florentina forward moved to City back in 2013 for a reported £22million when the Reds also tried but eventually lost to City. With injury hampered career at City, Jovetic is now the third choice striker in the pecking order with Aguero and Bony ahead of him.

After being left out of Champions League squad against Barcelona last month, Jovetic was expected to leave City for a potential destination. Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are also looking for the 25 year old striker.

The striker would be a great addition to Liverpool as he is a proven quality and Brendan Rodgers has been looking for players who have the potential to perform and have proved before instead of young talent this summer.

But if the striker opts to stay in Premier League, Liverpool is the best destination he gets with the player getting a chance to prove everyone about his potential in Premier League.

He has so far made 26 appearances this season netting only 6 goals this season, but the striker is more than capable and both the parties will be beneficial if the deal happens in summer.
