Liverpool transfer round-up: 2 in, 2 out and one huge transfer blow 1

Anfield has been a busy place since the start of the month with the manager Jurgen Klopp making a number of additions to his squad in the off-season.

There are plenty of players who are out of their way from the club and we here bring you with the latest on everything happening at the club. So let’s take a look at the transfer roundup for the Reds for Tuesday:

Sky Sports reported that Liverpool’s new signing Ragnar Klavan had a successful medical at Melwood and will be officially announced on Wednesday.

The Augsburg defender will cost Liverpool around £4.2m and with the injury crisis at the club, his experience might help the club next season. He will, however, compete with Lovren, Sakho and Matip for his place in the side and will travel with the Reds on their tour of the United States.

Coming to the second player Liverpool are supposedly close to signing, Newcastle United are sticking to a £25million price tag for the want-away star Georginio Wijnaldum.

The 11-goal attacker is happy with a move to Liverpool but the Magpies are ready to play hardball for him and are not letting him go for anything less than that fee leaving Liverpool with one simple solution. To spit the price asked if they want their player this summer. It will be interesting to see if Klopp does so in the coming days to enable Wijnaldum to travel with the squad to the States.

There now seems to be every chance that a deal might collapse if the two teams do not agree on a fee.

Elsewhere, Lazar Markovic, the Serbian winger is set to stay at the club at least for now after it was revealed that Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon are not ready to meet the valuation of the player.

Markovic arrived at Liverpool in a £20m in 2014 but has not been able to impress at Anfield. The manager does not want to send him out on loan and is ready to let him go only if his value is met by potential suitors, which has seen his move stall at the moment.

Moving on, in what can be a potential blow for the Reds, one of their top transfer target this summer, German left back Jonas Hector is close to a new deal with FC Cologne according to reports from German newspaper Bild.

The defender has been on the radar of the English club since the end of the previous season but it now looks like he is happy in Germany giving Liverpool a huge blow this summer.

However, it was also revealed that the club offered £7million for the 19-year-old Ben Chilwell of Leicester City as his Hector’s alternative old but the Premier League champions are said to be holding out for £10million leaving Liverpool with more work to do in the summer.
